So you're at Comic-Con and you would like to purchase the amazing and awesome Usagi Yojimbo figure? Well, that's extremely unlikely to happen. Because Playmates so wisely only made 350 of these, daily stock available is extremely limited. Reports vary from 25-60 per day. Because getting into the Convention Center each morning is a crazy process, even if you go immediately to the Nickelodeon booth, the line will already be too long for you to have a chance at purchasing it. The only people who are getting in line early enough to be able to buy it, are people with early access to the exhibit floor, who are most likely resellers, not fans. My friend who is a fan and did manage to get in line before the exhibit hall opened this morning was still not able to purchase one. I hope that sales on last year's extremely disappointing exclusive figure didn't influence the decision to only make 350 of these figures, but I would really like to know how they did decide to make it so extremely limited.

Hey, Rosemary! What the hell have you been so busy with that you haven't been able to properly update the website? A good question. Let's make a list. 1) My job. Alas, a requirement. 2) Karate. 3) Sleeping. These three things leave me with not much free time for other hobbies, of which the website would be one. And some other hobbies have snuck into that time. One of those extra hobbies has been painting. I just completed a series of 12 paintings that will be on display and for sale at the San Diego Comic-Con Art Show! I am quite excited about this. Featured above are my two TMNT-themed paintings. TMNT Guide to Comic-Con 2016

It's that time of year again! Yes, Comic-Con starts TOMORROW!

Life has been a bit of a whirlwind the last few months, which has sadly kept me from providing updates that I should have been posting. (If you would like the "picture is worth a thousand words" short version, you can see picture 1 and picture 2.) And, unfortunately, because of this, I also don't have my regular, detailed "TMNT Guide to Comic-Con" put together to the extent that I would like. I will kind of be flying by the seat of my pants this year, but I will still be there and I will be updating regularly with all the TMNT news and information I can find.

Here are some quick highlights to look forward to:

Panels dedicated to Nickelodeon's TMNT series (Friday) and IDW's TMNT series (Saturday).

You can check out Kevin Eastman's panel and autograph schedule right here.

The Nickelodeon autograph session will be Friday 1-2:30pm. Be sure to visit the booth earlier in the show to find out when ticket distribution will be—you will need a ticket to attend the autograph sessions!

There are quite a few TMNT exclusive items available for sale! NECA has their amazing TMNT video game figures, and you'll also find exclusive items at the Nickelodeon booth, IDW, Kid Robot, HeroClix, The Loyal Subjects, Mattel, and Bluefin.

And Usagi Yojimbo fans will want to be sure to visit Stan Sakai's booth to pick up the new Usagi Yojimbo coloring book!

Kevin Eastman to Appear on "Tonight in San Diego" June 20

Kevin Eastman and Courtney Eastman will be taping an appearance on "Tonight in San Diego" on June 20, 2016 at the Spreckles Theater in downtown San Diego.

I have two tickets available to give away to one person who can attend the taping in San Diego! You MUST be in the San Diego area and able to attend the taping this Monday at 7:30pm. "Out of the Shadows" Wins Weekend Box Office with $35.3 Million

According to Box Office Mojo, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows finished its opening weekend with an estimated $35.3 million in earnings. This is down approximately $30 million from 2014's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which finished its opening weekend with $65.5 million.

This was enough to win the weekend in the US, beating out last weekend's winner, X-Men: Apocalypse.

The top five movies for the weekend were:
1) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows
2) X-Men: Apocalypse
3) Me Before You
4) Alice Through the Looking Glass
5) The Angry Birds Movie

Take a 360° Tour of the Turtles' Lair

Last month, as part of the promotional effort for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, the Turtles' Lair was listed on Airbnb for fans to book a stay. The apartment in New York City was fully decked with Turtles gear, as well as having the complete sewer vibe. And of course, all of the available listings were immediately booked.

Now, for all of the fans who weren't able to stay in the Turtles' Lair, Nickelodeon is providing a 360° virtual reality tour of the space. From a compatible browser/viewer, check out the YouTube video below to explore!


The virtual reality tour lets fans experience the Lair in a special way and fill them in with facts like how the media wall is made up of over 40 vintage boomboxes found online and how over 75 pizza boxes labeled with bizarre topping combinations, like jelly bean and sausage or peanut butter and clams, are scattered throughout.

Yesterday, NECA revealed two TMNT action figure sets based on the original arcade game. The two sets of four action figures will be sold exclusively at San Diego Comic-Con in July. Pre-order details for attendees will be released later this week.

Cowabunga, dude! This SDCC-exclusive box set is based on the classic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 4-player co-op arcade game and features brand new figure sculpts and deluxe packaging. Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo and Raphael stand approximately 6” tall and feature over 30 points of articulation, including double knee joints to fully showcase their mastery of the martial arts. Special paint deco reflects the Turtles’ in-game appearance. The box set is packed with accessories, including signature weapons, interchangeable hands, pizza power-up and more. "TMNT 2: Out of the Shadows" Movie Premiere Held in New York City

Yesterday, May 22, Paramount held the world premiere for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Out of the Shadows at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The event brought together film makers with the fans ahead of the wide release of the film on June 3.

Danica Patrick to Drive TMNT-Themed Car in "TMNT 400" Race

Last month, race car driver Danica Patrick and Chicagoland Speedway made a joint announcement that Patrick will drive an April O'Neil/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles themed car in the September 18, 2016, Sprint Cup race at Chicagoland Speedway. It was also announced that the race will be called the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 400.
