I, for one, welcome "flashback" content and will be keeping an eye on things here regularly. Personally, aside from the NECA figures, I don't have any plans to buy any TMNT merchandise (although I feel like I'm missing out *again* on the comics). I don't buy a lot of TMNT stuff these days anyway, but next time I think about it, I will at least think twice now.garshhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09588736644740599867noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3101710131075087419.post-43076490275883676022008-02-12T21:45:00.000-08:002008-02-12T21:45:00.000-08:00It's true that nothing can be as cool and fantasti...It's true that nothing can be as cool and fantastic as it was back in the late 80s/early 90s. But I think what frustrates me most right now is that people like Murphy and Ryan have the ability and desire to make it that fantastic again, yet no one with "power" is willing to let them. 4Kids is only interested in selling pajamas and action figures. So long as Peter's "vision" is what dictates the Turtles, we're stuck with lame sci-fi and dinosaur stories.

No new, interesting stories are being told. You can't feed a franchise without creating new content that continually generates and maintains interest.

Simply slapping pictures on shoes, even adult-sized shoes, doesn't cut it anymore.Roseangelohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07212922872474594907noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3101710131075087419.post-80983131773650499582008-02-12T20:15:00.000-08:002008-02-12T20:15:00.000-08:00As a longtime TMNT fan, I feel your pain.I think I...As a longtime TMNT fan, I feel your pain.

I think I've decided that maybe some stuff is better left in my childhood. It'll never be as cool as it was when I was 12 or 13. I will never tire of hearing about the old days -- heck, Ryan Brown's blog is my favorite, they post some of the best stuff -- but the new stuff, and corporate strongarming, I could do without.

Good luck to you!Aaron Hazourihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09106694976443389309noreply@blogger.com
